So if I knew that somehow a million people would read this, maybe I would have been just a little 🤏 more cautious with my optimism… 😅 That said I couldn’t be prouder of the team for what they’ve created with Season 2. What I love is I literally see the team and everyone’s impact when playing. So many firsts, an all new gameplay loop with Rivalries, the Showdown Community event (#TeamFoundation ftw! 🪨) each Act delivering a unique player experience, revisiting Zero Build to do a huge pass for the Community, a first person weapon, the banging Overwatch collaboration with our friends at Blizzard and so much more. Just to speak personally for a sec; I really hope you’ve enjoyed Season 2 and that my initial… bold claim wasn’t too far off the mark, and leaves you excited about Season 3 ahead. Season 3 has big shoes to fill following Season 2, so buckle up - as we are licking the stamp and full SENDING it 💪 See you in the loop 🫡

Gonna take some time to see if this season truly ends up as a top 5 for me personally but, it was absolutely an incredible season, if only for the fact that there was so much experimentation and clear passion put into it

@JustTeddii Weapons: first and most importantly i think, the weapons. this lootpool is great, no red-dot ARs, good variety of weapons. auto shotty, pump, and a heavy hitting single shot shotgun. faster firing shorter range AR, and a longer range, slower, but heavy hitting AR. thunder burst-

BUT having bots and skilled based matchmaking will automatically make any season incapable of living up to some of the original seasons for me personally.

@JustTeddii is fine, but i feel like it should come without the Laser automatically equipped. the weapons themselves are not the problem. the damage they are doing is. every ranged weapon (yes, even the pistol) feels very overtuned to make up for no red-dot sights on any ARs. 2/a lot

@JustTeddii POIs: While Squibbly Shores and Builder's Barracks are good, i really don't find myself dropping Frigid very much at all as I feel it tried to be the new Brutal Bastion (from Chapter 4) but took it's worst qualities. I also feel some change in the bottom left Ripped/Battlewood-

@JustTeddii The lack of or whatever is going on with SBMM is the only thing stopping me from really enjoying this season. It’s really hard to have any fun at this point.

@JustTeddii Mobility: First off, overdrives are amazing. They are what shockwaves should've always been. Now, the Seven Power Gloves are an interesting topic. Great mobility, but the uppercut is very strong and spammable (especially indoors). A short cooldown before you can uppercut again-

@JustTeddii I like this season, new items and map changes were spread over the course of the season with the acts.
Instead of before in the first or second week with bare changes through the rest of the season.

I don't think I can personally look back and think to myself that this was a bad season.
My only issue is the SBMM is not something I can personally handle atm without feeling of wanting to play ranked instead. I play pubs with my friends. They aren't competitive. They want to vibe. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a well made season

I play this game since ch1 season 2, and I gotta say this is one of the most fun seasons since ch5 S1. Really good weapons and loot. rivalries are fun as well.
I'm still not a big fan of the map's art style and layout, I feel like ch1 was the best at this, high mountains and empty fields. but for zero build that isn't suitable anymore. So I kinda understand. hopefully ch8 will get closer to ch1 style, simple and authentic > high-dopamine easy gameplay. there's reload for that

Those kind of gameplay elements really hit the core essence of what made Fortnite stand out originally imo

@JustTeddii i really enjoyed this season, and in many ways it reminded me of C3S2, my favorite one.
i appreciated the constant updates to the story, the lootpool, and the overall atmosphere, and the gameplay felt absolutely remarkable.
my only criticism concerns the collaboration...

@JustTeddii I think it’s a really good season, but I personally wish it had more thematic elements to it.
Part of the reason why a lot of seasons are considered “all-timers” is because they had a solid, definite theme.
This season, as good as it is, just feels like it has 3 mini-themes.

@JustTeddii Rivalries: Starting them felt very random, as sometimes you would get someone across the map from you or someone right next to you. And even if there were people near you, sometimes you just can't even start one. Other than those, Rivalries were great, I was missing bounty boar-

@JustTeddii would've fixed that. I am a fan of the Skyzip, one of the coolest mobility items ever. Great for traversing around the map or getting a sneaky thunderpump on someone. They could've used a bit more speed though.

This is officially the Season where I've played solos the least, and it's because all of my friends have been back playing regularly again. I don't speak for everyone, but I've noticed people are just generally having "fun" again.
My favorite Season ever is C2S7: Invasion, and it was because the pacing of the season was great, the pacing of the matches were great, and the loot pool was all so new and interesting. C7S2 has followed that exactly. I think the Rivalries have tremendously helped the pacing of matches!
