Fortnite Community, let’s talk! Why don’t we zoom in on the upcoming “Rematch Rivals” Victory Screen button and the ability to “1v1 Your Friends”… When making the Rivalries gameplay, we asked ourselves the question; Wouldn’t it be cool if… Rivalries could persist across games? I’m sure we all remember Battle Royale matches where you had an organic rivalry, and you remembered the opponents gamertag, only for the rivalry to end when the match is over 😞 But what if we could bottle that up and give it more meaning? Even more than that, I’m sure I’m not alone when I’ve finished a match and a DM pops up to say “you wouldn’t beat me in a 1v1 brah!” 🤣 Now that very person who claims you couldn’t beat them in a 1v1 (brah), can now prove it in our 1v1 invite to Arenas! And the gamertags you battled against for the Victory Royale? They can now be more than just remembered - they can be REMATCHED. So in the upcoming updates as part of Season 2, you’ll see both of these “wouldn’t it be cool if’s…” come to life. As always, would love to hear your thoughts and experiences especially as I believe these to be industry-first features in the Battle Royale genre - just please remember; Keep it friendly competition 🤝 Cheers 🫡

@JustTeddii I'm a bit confused by this, isn't it already working like this to some degree? If I have a rival on someone and eliminate them or they eliminate me and then we both get into the next game together... the first rivalry seems to always be with that person. Is this different?

@JustTeddii I'm not sure if this is a hot take, but the "Rematches" system in BR is incredibly frustrating, I don't like fighting the same people over and over, because 9 times out of 10 the end result of a fight is the same, with one person simply being better or worse than the other.

Since I finally see a response on this, I'll add in just a few things.
*Give NA East / NA West back their servers in Casual Zero Builds Modes , theres no reason for it to be staying on Central.
*Return Skill Based Match Making back to accounting for the lowest skilled player in the lobby , casual friends and family players have been suffering since Christmas.

Overall Creative mode is really glitchy please look into it

Mr Tim I have two requests one of which is a mistake implemented over a year ago, we need the “mute others audio” option back in the sound settings for licensed audio, it made streaming with safe copyright emotes easier.

2. Kicks still cause FPS drops.

@JustTeddii About this… any plans to improve the current building controls with the release of Arena Boxfights? Like improving how simple building works, allowing for normal build controls to use MB1 and MB2, and what about simple edits getting the other edits too?

@JustTeddii I say this because so many people do not want to engage with the building mechanics because they do not have a tutorial for box fighting, and because of the clunkiness of normal editing, which tbh is just ported over from the PVE game that is STW

@JustTeddii It might sound weird, but I don’t play Fortnite to compete against others as an ongoing desire. I play Fortnite to compete against my self & improvement. I actually don’t like PVP games generally speaking but Fortnite is the exception bc the Meta is varied across BR playstyles

@JustTeddii Basically what I read was, the persons involved with the rivalries update has been fired and now we're scrambling to find a way to make it cool. Fuck out of here. This season sucks and it ain't cuz of the gameplay.

@JustTeddii focus on battle royale and not this. Its not enjoying to play 50 rounds of this for 3hours. Focus on competitive and make Fortnite battle royale the primary and main focus of Fortnite. stick to what worked.

@JustTeddii Tbh, I don’t want to rematch a single person if a major factor to me losing is consistent server stuttering, gameplay lag, and weapons in my loadout randomly not firing throughout the match.
Which is about 85% or even 90% of my experience every day I’ve got on this season. Xbox

And maybe I’m wrong here, but I can’t help but notice how a lot of these problems would be fixed if we all weren’t crammed on Central servers

@JustTeddii Word limit🫠 Yall are killing it! Love that we’re seeing new stuff and more hype in the community as a whole.
But I definitely think we need some heavy TLC on the consistency of gameplay quality. Its hard losing due to glitches every single match and still feel like this is fun

@JustTeddii @bajabobomb @ShiinaBR The O.G mode has TERRIBLE lighting. Fix the lighting ffs. It’s been 8 SEASONS. 8 Seasons of your old ignorant devs ass ignoring one of the if not THE biggest issue in O.G ever. The lighting is wgat people remember from 2018-2019 not if the pump did excactly 100 damage or not.

@JustTeddii @bajabobomb @ShiinaBR Fix the lighting in O.G and use the correct grass and use shadow proxies. The viduals are JUST as important as the fucking weapon stats. The gamemode visually is awful in every way possible.
