My favorite season in a longtime. Games feel rewarding to win with SBMM changes. Loving the tuning of vehicles compared to where they were. Reboot vans could probably use a little less HP. Ranked Skin Cups have been awesome to play. Super big improvement from last chapter. The map has really grown on me. Loving the feel of it. Story being back is a major win. The battle Royale consistent updates has made it feel “can’t miss” again for the first time in a long time. Snipers honestly feel really good without 1 shot headshots. Great way to open a fight then pounce right after while knowing they’re weak. Biggest thing by far Fortnite needs to work on is the stuttering/lag enemies have when traveling at high rates of speed above 175 meters away. It’s existed since chapter 5 season 1 and plagues every single game

@JustTeddii -Deadeye AR is still incredibly overpowering and kills just just about every other AR's usability, also significantly devalues the Sniper -Shockwaves still feel more annoying than usual, maybe related to being able to ADS in the air? Not really sure -Play as Boss is underwhelming

- Fighting real players endgame makes wins feel satisfying again. Favorite change hands down. - Gold resetting each match adds much needed economy to the game - Jump + ADS 🔥 - New sounds are CRISP and crunchy and I love them - Reduced reliance on cars has been a much welcomed changed (but “car fighting” could still be tuned down) - Love that there’s no single POI that you *have* land at to get a medallion/busted gun (but Ripped Tides is pretty busted with the mythic pump + katana spawn) Couple weeks in and I’m still thinking this could end up as a top 5 season of all time for me.

The current state of SBMM is only good for sweats/people that constantly grind the game 24/7. Your average player does not have the time nor the will to be on the game every single second of every single day just to have a chance to keep up. Not everyone wants to get on after a long day of work and immediately get smashed. It’s also impossible to play with lower skilled friends to help them improve. I literally can never play with my girlfriend ever again because she simply cannot handle my lobbies. Over time this will inevitably cause a major loss of players and the only people left playing the game will be the sweats, much like COD. We have to have a healthy balance. The matchmaking was perfectly fine before so I just genuinely don’t understand the decision. Can you clarify your reasoning for changing it?

@JustTeddii It's good, it's just hard since the update. Pub matches feel like ranked. If I want to sweat, I'll play ranked. Pubs are for casual play, and with the new SBMM it's almost not fun anymore because you HAVE to try too hard. I can't play squads with friends that aren't good anymore.

@JustTeddii @RenclawFN imo the main issue with snipers at their core is the projectile speed Pre-Ch4S2, Snipers had a 30k speed, this was juuuuust enough to make them primarily punish bad plays rather than just.. kill people for free. Snipers post-Ch4S2 have a 45k speed, and Post-Ch5 have a 55k speed

Had to edit my comment but.... Please fix the SBMM and crack down on the cheating that is infesting matches. It would almost be a perfect season with those fixes. Right now, it's a completely broken game and the least fun I've had. I joined during Wrecked and absolutely loved it and Marvel season. Then the unban wave during Lawless was a terrible decision by Fortnite. The SBMM has completely ruined the game for casual players who can't play the game 24 hours a day, seven days a week like the pro streamers. The cheating is so bad right now that I'm switching games and I've read that other players in the Fortnite subreddit are doing the same thing. I know I'm a nobody and this is the opinion of a casual player, but hopefully Epic will take steps in the right direction to help the casual players.

My ranked games are a joke skill level wise compared to pub games. It feels backwards. Also why does ZB BR not have access to NA East and NA West servers in pubs anymore? @JustTeddii @RenclawFN Whilst we had the 30k speed, we had tons of *fine* one shot snipers, some with larger clips (Storm Scout, Hunter Bolt). If the speed was reduced to match the old Pre-Ch4S2 sniper drop, the sniper overall would be more fair and could definitely be buffed to deal higher damage

chapter seven is still pretty fun and exciting imo!! the team set the foundation for a pretty good chapter with this season, really loving the loot pool, the gameplay and map also love how we already had an update with map changes and unvaults, something CH6 didn’t do, more weekly updates please. also many people believe the deadeye is too strong and the playable bosses are too underpowered which is honestly true. that’s really my only note 🙏 thank you all for the communication the past few days.

It would overall make the Sniper feel more fair, someone who’s aware they’re being sniped at could have more reasonable counter play by moving, more time to build, etc, and getting hit for a high headshot would be more so user error rather than “oh guess I’m dead instantly”

too many challenges, too much focus on locking cosmetics behind tournaments and ranked, locking behind unreal. the rest of BR, map is good, could use better movement items, the wingsuit kinda sucks, guns could be better none of them are particularly good and they all have tons of recoil and bloom, all the shotguns suck, that said the strong point of this season and chapter overall is the collabs, peak collab skins. so W to collab skins, good map/theme, better than ch6. L challenges/slow XP/ranked cosmetics, and poor item meta

@JustTeddii I only really have good things to say. The lootpool is really fun, and focuses on gunplay which is something I really enjoy. The POIs are really unique and stand out a lot from one another. SBMM feels a little high, but other than that, perfect season. Possibly an all timer

@JustTeddii The smaller map and storm changes have made pacing of matches a lot better, games are so much more engaging My only complaint is shockwaves are really annoying and too easy to run with. I don’t think they’re necessary with the wingsuits which are far more balanced and fun to use

@JustTeddii Really enjoying this season! So many secret areas, underground areas, makes it so fun! Wingsuits are epic, balloons are fun… The only thing I would adjust is: more fuel for cars, more floor loot in buildings, and more shields in care package drops. Otherwise it’s super fun!

@JustTeddii I think my favorite thing has to be the Redwood biome and being able to find Bigfoot - as I grew up in the Redwoods surrounded by Bigfoot culture haha. In terms of gameplay... probably the wingsuit! It's a lot of fun and pretty balanced.

In OG I WAY less often get just domed for most of my health instantly if I’m moving well enough, they’re incredibly powerful still but aren’t just a free kill on someone unsuspecting usually

@JustTeddii I think its a huge step up and a huge step in the right direction for Fortnite. The only changes I dont like are the ranked ones. Going from being able to just do quests to now requiring Unreal in 3 modes and 3 seperate tournaments feels like a huge step back.

@JustTeddii I'm wondering if we could get the original Team Rumble back. Respawn Rumble is too limiting by being locked to one POI for weeks, no build, short games, and mostly bots on top of that. TR was much more fun with building, all real players, and it could happen anywhere each game.

@JustTeddii Servers are way too hard this season, I've been playing for 6 years and its not a skill issue. I've played 12 matches with my friend today and haven't gotten a single win in any of the modes, please fix matchmaking or sbmm or remove sbmm completely. Its very hard to have fun.

Yeah it’s pretty sad… I feel like players are mostly looking out for the steps / health visual audio, it’s relatively new so no one has gotten used to the balloon visual audio. Maybe a knockback / flowberry fizz effect when being on builds broken by a ballon would be a nice fix? Not sure how that’d work though Thank you for taking the time to reply 😁
