🚨 We're testing an update to Storm Surge It will change from total damage dealt to net damage (damage dealt minus damage taken) in Performance Evaluation Cups from October 2. For clarification: The only damage that counts is damage dealt/taken between players who aren’t downed. Players’ net damage will count through the entire game even after being eliminated or rebooted.

@gabicskaaa @FNCompetitive I dont think you understand the change. Its all about damage done versus taken. For any team to be positive another team must be negative so its impossible to take storm surge if you are positive on damage.

There could be even by math 48 team positive and 2 team crazy negative but the point is that's not gonna happen. I predict only 10 teams will be positive by zone 6 so b if you even have 100 that's enough.

@ryze72_ @FNCompetitive Will they? For everyone else to be that positive they will have had to get so many kills that there will be no surge anyway. Plus assuming you are correct someone with 5 kills who did 1000 damage but took 900 damage is now also below. Is that not bad too?

@FNCompetitive I like this idea but I’ve said it before make shotgun damage 1.5x surge damage and make ar .5x surge damage or less even then people will fight more and If people try to sit and right hand boxfight surge trade every game it will be more obvious and ban able

@brainiacvp @FNCompetitive You can’t trade damage if you lose surge when you take damage. If you are trading with a team, both teams will be doing equal damage to each other, meaning you get no surge

@FNCompetitive This doesn’t solve anything. The issue is that players team & trade damage. You need to find a way to force teams to fight a lot sooner. Especially mid game. This isn’t rocket science…

@FNCompetitive In short, it means you should avoid surge trading and instead focus on landing single hits to deal damage to the enemy. Using wkey is acceptable, but it carries the risk of lowering your damage ratio, so it's dangerous.
