Hey Folks, we’ve got some updates on some key features from the FN Creator Roadmap you should be aware of: General Physics (Beta) will now be shipping in Q4 2025 so we can make sure it’s working as it should. We’ll focus on refining character movement, improving device behaviors and general fixes in order to make that happen. Additionally, Skill-Based Matchmaking is being shifted from Q3 to Q4 2025 so it can align with upcoming foundational improvements to the matchmaking service. Ranged Weapons Experimental release is moving to Q1 2026. However, Custom Game Items Experimental, which serves as the foundation for Ranged Weapons will still launch this year in Q4. Another aspect shifting to Q1 2026 will be Spectator improvements, this is to accommodate a redesign system that better aligns with the long-term development strategy for UEFN. We’re making these adjustments to ensure the best possible experience during the Experimental phase. What’s the point of making a roadmap if you never meet the release estimates?
The fact that you are ONLY NOW warning us about delays for things that were supposed to come out in less than 30 days ruins some people’s plans for maps/updates.
I can understand delays happen, but you’re handling them badly and way too often.

Just get rid of the estimated launch timings and just categorize stuff based on what they are

oh hey guys you forgot to delay Persona Device - Experimental can you delay that too, AI stuff can release but core tech like literal shit we need also now we wait to 2026 for custom weapons and q4 for custom items and all and still in experimental like wtf 🙂 do you guys even plan stuff, i get it stuff gets delayed in development but its been over 1.5 year since this stuff was announced c'mon man you can't do this again and again and think that community will stay quiet. stop with this BS please

I wonder if some of the cool IP's coming to Fortnite UEFN could help push some of these -should be awesome- features over the finish line? (ATLA: bending with physics sounds awesome!)
Love the IP UEFN tie-ins, but at the same time we have gotten so many delays on awesome features that are important too.

@FNCreate Thanks for the update. One thought for the future, when a delay occurs, maybe share a bit more details about what we are getting. Summary info here is better than nothing, but go further. e.g. delay on Spectator to allow new Spectator slots to be added along Player slots.

@SupremeUEFN @FNCreate Fr, the good thing about this roadmap is that we at least know what they’re working on and will add later. But instead of constantly delaying, they should just set broader dates. I’d rather see a tool/feature/device released earlier than expected than the other way around
